We had dreamed of utilizing solar energy for years. We moved into our house a couple of years ago and decided to make it happen. We researched and attended the Solar Tour in the Dallas area last year. That was very helpful and led us to the great folks at Energy Shop in Carrollton. Our goal was to install a system that would generate 100% of our annual electricity requirements. The Energy Shop consulted with us, designed and installed our solar energy system. We’re thrilled with the results. Our SunPower PV array is working just as we’d hoped. And it looks great. Many of our neighbors worried when we told them we were about to “go solar”. They were much relieved to know that our roof-mounted solar panels barely change the appearance of our house. We couldn’t be happier. We have plans to further reduce our carbon footprint, but this was our big first step. If you’re interested in your own solar system, don’t wait.
