Mark and I have tried to become more aware of our impact on the environment mostly at the urging of our daughter. She had several teachers in the public-school system who stressed the importance of decreasing one’s impact on the environment. We began simply with recycling and began to make changes to our home by installing Low E windows, radiant barrier, tankless hot water heater and ultimately solar panels. I was hesitant regarding initial costs and my husband was hesitant related to technical concerns. We took the leap when Mark was convinced regarding available technology and I was convinced that the cost would be recovered. We could not be happier with our solar panels as we know we are greener for the environment and it turns out we are saving money too.
